The calendar I'm looking at shows a lilac about to bloom for the photo for September. Lilacs don't bloom in September, at least not where I live. I think the paper calendar industry is slacking.
It also rained this week. So, with the turning of the month and the rain, one might think summer is over. If there's one thing to take away from this post today, it's that summer is not over! Summer ends September 22. Yes, school has started and yes it's Labor Day Weekend the "unofficial end of summer", but when it comes to summer ending, I'm all about the "official" end of it and that's not for another 3 weeks! So with that in mind here's my plan to get the most out of what summer we have left.
Number one, continue to eat as many meals outside as possible.
Number two, Use my cruiser bike for errands.
Number five and most importantly, remember to keep the summer feeling even when the rain begins.
"One must maintain a little bit of summer, even in the middle of winter." — Henry David Thoreau
What are your plans to make the most of our last days of summer?
